Researchers choose 529 scholarship program for low-income families

Scholars choosing 529 scholarship programs for low income families may have a new option in mind: the Non-Scholarly Sources program.

The program is designed to assist lower income families with access to the full range of non-scholarly sources for scholarship purposes.

It will allow scholars to take advantage of the benefits of the 529 plan, while also offering opportunities for the community to participate.

The scholarship program will launch in April 2019.

The first class of scholarships will be awarded in 2018.

In addition to the scholarship, the Non Scholarly Sources Program will be available to all academic institutions eligible to offer scholarships to low- and moderate-income students.
